Rinoa: Forest Owls

Rinoa is a member of the Forest Owls resistance faction in Timber, against the Galbadian occupation and president Vinzer Deling (I've said this like, eight times now -_-). Her main partners in crime (kidding ^^;) are Zone and Watts, along with Angelo. Their base is a train (as is that everything in Timber operates off trains), which someone lovingly decorated .. Umm, yeah.

There are more people on the team, but the only ones who have big enough roles to get names are Zone and Watts. They introduce themselves to Squall, and then introduce Rinoa, but never the other people :P so I guess those other people just aren't good enough or something. Anyways, back to Zone and Watts. Both are good at escaping ^_^; They and Rinoa seem to all get along pretty well, and tease each other like they're good friends (about Rinoa's pitiful excuse for a trian model ^^;) Zone is a little overprotective of Rinoa though: "Take care of Rinoa, will you? I'll kill you if you let anything happen to her." Which he almost does to Squall, after she goes into a coma and he finds out. We don't really get much information about Zone and Watts, though. Watts is very polite (he refers to Squall as "Sir" ^^;) and is good at collecting information. Zone has some kind of stomach problems (or he just fakes it :P) because he gets stomach aches all the time, and likes naughty magazines. >:P But other than that, we know nothing of them. (Except for that in some cases, they ARE afraid of Rinoa's wrath. I think it's so funny how they'e scared to wake her up so they have SQUALL go and do it ^_- heh. They're still all good friends, of course, but I guess they know each other too well ^^ and aren't afraid to let their slobby personality traits shine through.)

Rinoa isn't the official leader (Zone is - he says so when he first meets Squall) but we see her doing a LOT of the work when the team hired Squall -___-;; Zone was victim to frequent stomach pains (but once again, I always thought he was faking it myself ¬¬;;) so that he often was excused from doing whatever it was Rinoa ended up doing; and Watts.. Well, he gathered information, but didn't do much else .__. Things seemed a little one-sided to me.. But then again, I'm biased. ^_^ Rinoa seems more like a mascot to the Forest Owls. They all call her "Princess" and even treat her like one - she gets her own fully furnished room on the Forest Owl's base. ^^ (Either because the guys are nice, or because Rinoa's just spoiled. ^_-)

Squall finds them very unprofessional and disorganized ("You plop down on the floor to discuss strategy?") and they kind of know they are ^^; but their group is one of the only ones who actually take action against the Galbadians. They try to capture President Deling on his train from Galbadia (the whole reason why Rinoa met Squall - he was hired by their group), but it sort of all blows up in their faces later on.. ^^;; One of the main things to remember though is that the Forest Owls' aren't just a group working together, they're first and foremostly friends - and whenever they work together, it really does show. Even though they're painfully disorganized and very unproffessional, when it comes to the grind they do a good job. The plan to capture the President might not have worked, but if you look at how much they planned it out (all the train stuff, like the uncoupling of the cars; and the dummy president and all) and all the details they remembered, it is impressive. *^^* They have their problems, but they DO know what they're doing. And as Rinoa would stress, their work means a whole lot to them. They do the best that they can.
