Ultimately hair-rippingingly hard without Holy Wars or Holy War Trials. Damn that Ellone, and damn that random rule, for making it impossible to get the Laguna card >:P)

- I've actually played FF8 a disturbing amount of times.. In fact I'm not sure how many anymore O_o About half of them were actually done in order to make this shrine the best that it could be - for getting quotes, screenshots, etc. - so feel LUCKY. :P The information on this page is from my "best" or "main" game, mainly because it's the only one I did well on and worked on. Yep.
- I've got a save before almost every important event in the game and every good FMV, too, and all of the saves are scattered across three memory cards plus the slots on the FF8 PC version. ^^; (Although I've only used half of both the slots on the PC version, and the memory cards each had a lot of other stuff on them too..)
- I used a strategy guide. Sue me. 洵 The very first time I played I didn't.. And my game really sucked so I eventually started over after buying a guide :P I think FF8 is one of those games that if you don't use a guide, you can do it, but you'll get a lot more out of it if you use one. It helps when a strategy guide is accurate, though. >:P The Bradygames one I used sucked because some of the information wasn't true (CORRECTION, Zone is actually the leader of the Forest Owls, NOT Rinoa! I think that's why everyone says she is - the damn strategy guide says so..) and sometimes the "advice" they gave wasn't really all that helpful.. :P
- Since I'm just stupid and untalented ^^; I sorta used the same characters in my main party every time, so only those three got experience (and the others.. didn't..) The three people I used happened to be Zell, Squall, and Rinoa (and ALWAYS in that order. It bothered me when they were out of order >____<) and the only reason why they ended up being in my main party was because I liked Zell and Rinoa, and Squall was just there. O_o (Yeah, I pick characters because I LIKE them :P not just because they're strong..) So that means that Quistis, Selphie, and Irvine are on disturbingly low levels that I don't wanna mention.
- You'll also notice I sorta gave everyone GFs randomly without any thought as to what they would learn in the future and to who I should put them with because of abilites or whatever.. ^^; And Rinoa ended up with the best junctions purely by accident, so don't go blaming me :P ;) Also, the reason for Squall's and Zell's Elem-Atk and Elem-Def setups is because that's the way I had them for fighting Ultima Weapon, and I just.. never changed it.
- I haven't done much of anything involving chocobos, or done much on the Triple Triad card quests. ^^;; (At least on this game.. recently while replaying FF8 for Redemption I ended up doing the CC Group thing at Balamb Garden.. and it was easy XD; plus finally bringing myself immense joy by kicking Ellone's sorry ass at Triple Triad... buahaha..) I've done most of the otehr side quests though (and I'm thinking of writing walkthroughs for them! :D) and upgraded everyone's weapons to their finals (yes, even the characters I don't use ^_^). and OMEGA! XD Yes, I've beaten Omega. >)
- My "fighting style" mainly consists of.. Casting aura, and using limit breaks. ^_^ Up until fighting Sorceress Adel I basically used GFs for everything, but I had to realter myself for that fight (because if you used GFs, Rinoa would die... ^^;;) And I sort of never went back to using them because I realized how much more damage limit breaks do (and how much faster you deal damage! With GF you have to wait twice as long because you have to summmon them 洵; Oh, and EDEN O_O; tha animation for Eden is just.. unethical.. wrong.. Ugh. I could've taken showers while summoning GF Eden. I never even used it because the animation was soo.. LONG.. God..)
