Eyes on Me is supposedly FFVIII's image song.. Or something like that O_o Don't listen to me, I'm a misinformed moron ^_^; Anyway! In-game, this is the song Julia Heartilly wrote about Laguna Loire, her soldier who went off to war and never returned.

Okay, so it relates.. how?
Well, even though this song was about Laguna and Julia, it sounds like Squall and Rinoa a LOT, so I felt like analyzing it and seeing exactly how it related to them too. Or something. ^_^;

"I saw you smiling at me/was it real or just my fantasy/I kind of liked it your way/how you shyly placed your eyes on me"
This reminds me of when Squall & Rinoa met at the party at Balamb Garden after Squall became a SeeD. The way he saw shooting star, looked down and locked eyes with Rinoa.. That kind of fits those lines of the song (not to mention being incredibly romantic ^^;)

"With that look on your face as if you're never hurt/if frown is shown.."
This really sounds like Squall, because he's always frowning.. It's so cute when Rinoa imitates him, too! ^_^

"My last night here for you/my last night here with you, maybe yes, maybe no"
This fits with the scene on the Ragnarok, right before Rinoa leaves with the Esthar people (well, what ARE they called? ^^;) to go to the sorceress monument and be blasted off to the moon.. Because she wasn't ever going to be able to see Squall anymore.. :(

"Darling so share with me/your love if you have enough/your tears if you're holding back/or pain if that's what it is"
And lastly.. When Rinoa talks to Squall at the Garden festival, telling him that everyone all wishes he would open up more to them and ask for help more often.. These lines kind of go along with that. Well, they sort of go along with Rinoa trying to get Squall to open up in general. ^_^
