Training: Triple Triad If you revisit Deling City on Disc 3, and drop in to say hi to Rinoa's father, he mentions that he has a Triple Triad card of his one-and-only daughter. Yep, that's right.. you can get your very own card of Rinoa-chan! But not without a fight. ¬¬ Although Caraway HAS a card of Rinoa, the bastard won't even start to use it until you lose your Ifrit card to him - but don't worry, there's a way you can get it back later on. Actually getting Ifrit in your deck if you're carrying the random rule* is nearly impossible.. X_x;; However, if you're random free, pick Ifrit to be in your deck, and make SURE it's your best card (if you use one that's better, and then lose to him, he'll take the better one instead :P my own mistake, lol). Then purposely lose to Caraway, he'll take your Ifrit, and he'll start to use the Rinoa card in his deck. And you're halfway there! >D Now all you have to do is rechallenge him, and kick his sorry butt when he uses Rinoa! And then, well.. Rapture. XD And Ifrit - getting it back is easier than getting Rinoa. :P Anyway, Caraway being the bad card player that he is ^^; must've been playing cards with the former headmaster Martine of Galbadia Garden and LOST his new Ifrit to him - because if you visit Martine at FH, and play cards with him, he uses none other than your Ifrit! If you go to FH and park the Ragnarok, Martine should just be sitting right there (moping about his sorry pathetic life, or something :P). Challenge him to a card game, and get your Ifrit back. (And make sure to go back to Deling City and wave both your Ifrit and Rinoa cards in Caraway's face... >D) After you get Rinoa's card, it can be refined into three Magic Armlets,
using Quezacotl's Card Mod ability.. If you can bear to part with it, that
is. ^_- Magic Armlets can be used to teach a GF Spr+60% ability. For your curiosity, I never got Rinoa's card :P In fact, I didn't get Laguna's either >P sometimes regarded as the best card you can get, because of what it refines into. My mistake for spreading the random rule to the Ragnarok, making Ellone impossible to beat; and losing my chance on getting 100 Heroes. Damn. I'm gonna get that Ellone back someday. ¬¬ *You pick up card rules from an area when you play cards there; and can spread them around to other places while you're carrying them. In case you didn't know, the "rules" I'm speaking of are announced at the beginning of every card match you play. So if you ever see "random" pop up on that little grey box, prepare to face immense and gutwrenching frustration. :P (The random rule ended up being MARRIED to me. ¬¬ But I dunno, other people might've had better luck with it. :P) What Random actually does, is give you a hand of cards but you don't get to pick which ones. So you might end up fighting some tough guy with a deck full of Grat cards >P Evil, I tell ya. Just plain evil. Return: Training |
