Etcetera: Why Rinoa???

The title explains the point of it all, baby. :9 MY main reasons for liking Rinoa-chan. Short, sweet, and the the point, because that's what I feel like. ^^

1. Rinoa's not a damsel in distress. (or a "DID" if you're lazy like me and don't wanna type it all out ^^;;)
Or maybe she is, depending on who you talk to. But since this is my article, right now for the time being since this is my opinion, she's not. ^_- She may need other people to feel secure, but she's certainly strong - and that's just the reason why she isn't just a DID. She may play the role in the game of a DID, just as Squall plays the hero - but obviously, the personalities they have don't correspond to their parts at all. Squall's none of that cheesey hero save the princess business, and Rinoa just doesn't have the nonexhistent personality or nonexhistent willpower that the true DID posesses.
And I just have to say this - but what really irks me though are those people who call Rinoa a DID and then turn around to Garnet til Alexandros, and say she's NOT one. O_o;; Umm. Garnet gets into trouble the same way as Rinoa, but she's not nearly as emotionally strong as Rinoa is - in fact, she's more of the DID because she honestly can't do ANYTHING alone. :P And she's a wishy-washy wuss; half of FFIX I was irritated with her not doing anything about her feelings - which brings us to the next reason. (And please excuse my dislike of Garnet til Alexandros - she's okay, I just don't like her; and she was a perfect example by comparison. ¬¬;;)

2. Rinoa sticks up for herself.
She may need others to fight, but she's certainly no wimp. She's always expressing her feelings and ALWAYS doing whatever she can, when her heart tells her too. You couldn't ever push her around, she's stuck firm in her beliefs. No wishy-washiness here. ^_-

3. Rinoa is THE perfect role model.
She's caring, she's sweet, and she tries to help other people and do what's right to the best of her ability. Enough said.

4. Rinoa's sensitive to other people's opinions, but it never stops her from being herself.
Probably her very best quality. She speaks her mind regardless of her fear of being rejected. That takes guts. She's true to herself - she doesn't lie about her feelings to save face. Note that this is coming from someone who is just about as afraid of rejection as Rinoa - so I KNOW, I've been there. And to still be yourself with this overwhelming desire to be accepted, it's hard.. It says something about Rinoa, that she can do that.

Annnnnnd, those are the main points, basically. That's the way I percieve Rinoa, and that's why I like her so much. Yay. ^_- List might get longer someday, if and when I feel like it.
